Monitoring the change that occurred in the views of the Saudis towards some aspects related to Vision 2030
Getting to know the opinions of Saudis about their financial condition and related aspects now compared to five years ago.
Identifying the level of Saudis’ knowledge of the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Methodology
The survey was designed by a team of three experts with doctorate degrees, following the scientific methodology used at the Saudi Center for Opinion Polling (SCOP). This poll was conducted on a random sample of 2,822 Saudi citizens aged 18 years and over. The sample was selected using the Random Dialing Digit (RDD) methodology. The mobile phone coverage was about 96% of the Kingdom’s population. After the initial pilot, a workshop was held to make the appropriate adjustments to the questionnaire based on the pilot’s learnings. After the main campaign, the data was cleaned, the sample was weighted, and the analysis was conducted using survey sampling techniques.
Key finding(s)
1. 93% of the sample believe that the country’s conditions have improved after five years of implementing the vision.
2. 57% of the sample believe that their situation has improved, while 43% believe that their situation has not changed.
3. 70% is the average percentage for those who see improvement in 18 aspects of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
4. The aspects that Saudis see the most improvement in are the employment of Saudi women (94%), the work of government agencies (90%), and the level of entertainment (89%).
5. The aspects that Saudis see less improvement in are their financial condition (30%), the employment of Saudi males (39%), and the opportunity to own a home (44%).
6. The level of Saudis’ knowledge of the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 was strong for (23%) of the sample, medium for (57%) of the sample, and weak for (15%), while there (5%) of the sample did not hear of the Kingdom’s vision 2030.
Future work
The Saudi Center for Public Opinion (SCOP) plans to repeat this poll periodically and measure the changes and trends over time.
