Over the past decade, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has witnessed a series of exceptional social transformations that have left a deep and lasting impact on all segments of society. The Saudi Center for Opinion Polls (SCOP) participated in the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, held at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University in Riyadh, through a panel discussion titled “From the Childhood of Books to the Childhood of Screens.” The session presented the results of a survey on children’s reading habits, led by Mr. Saud Al-Ghamdi and moderated by Ms. Noura Al-Roumi. The discussion received wide engagement from the audience, generating a rich dialogue around the survey’s findings. Participants expressed their appreciation to SCOP for its ongoing annual initiatives and dedicated efforts to promote reading in its various dimensions.
The Saudi Center for Opinion Polls (SCOP) participated in the 77th Gallup International Association Conference, held in Varna, Bulgaria, from September 21–25, 2025, with broad international representation from opinion research institutions.Dr. Abdullah Alhugail and Dr. Nuha Al-Wadaani presented a paper titled “Assessment and Mitigation of Mode Effects in Mixed-Mode Surveys and Polls: A Practical Application to SCOP Polls”, showcasing the center’s methodological experience and solutions to enhance survey quality. SCOP surveys indicate that:99% of Saudis use social media, with WhatsApp, Snapchat, and YouTube ranking highest in usage.89% of Saudis use at least one streaming platform, with Shahid leading for the third consecutive year.49% of Saudis use artificial intelligence, and 31% of its users utilize it daily.The novelty of artificial intelligence and the adoption by half of Saudis suggests a high rate of future adoption.
For the fourth consecutive year, SCOP (Saudi Center for Opinion Polling) conducted a comprehensive study involving 1,222 Saudi citizens aged 18 and above to measure their usage patterns and preferences for social media applications.Key Areas of Focus: 1.
